Pleated Conservatory Blinds
Pleated conservatory blinds are translucent casting a gentle, ambient light when closed and can be manufactured to any shape including unusual angles (both acute and obtuse) which cannot be accomodated by other blind types. They are unique in the variety of openers available including manual by a wand, cord, ball chain or crank or motorised operation with Somfy remote controls.

German design
Our pleated conservatory and window blinds are made using the Cosiflor specifically designed German engineered system and then manufactured in our workrooms in Surrey. The Cosiflor system has a particular model designed for every application, we do not need to adapt to fit certain shapes like other systems available, we already have a blind for every shape.

High quality training
British Blind Company's personnel are trained in Germany to their very high levels of excellence and all of our blinds are manufactured to your requirements in our Surrey workrooms. Our staff use sophisticated computer programs which enable the technical aspects of complicated blinds to be modeled prior to production of a manufacturing sheet which ensure blinds are manufactured exactly to specification.

Excellent engineering
Cosiflor have spent countless hours perfecting the best system available on the market today. Hundreds of hours have been invested designing and testing every rail/endcap and fabric to ensure that it meets up to the extreme conditions that the blind will encounter once fitted under the glass in a conservatory roof.

Fabric performance
Our fabrics have undergone thorough testing for Reflectance, absorption and transmittance i.e. how much light and heat will pass through the blind into my living space? Most solar coated fabrics on the market today have a transmittance rating of 30-40%, British Blind Company has a performance fabric that transmits 9% in a neutral colour without making the conservatory roof look grey like aluminium backed fabrics such as Solar R supplied by our competitors.

Pleated blind range
We have a blind for every price range. Don’t ask inferior blind companies to install your blinds because you think that you can’t afford top German quality. We have created a three-tiered blind pricelist- budget, standard and deluxe. So now you can afford the best German designed systems manufactured by the best of British craftsmen and fitted by fully trained professionals:
- Budget – simple blinds made with Cosiflor rails and components in a limited range of plain or solar reflective fabrics.
- Standard – top quality blinds in a huge range of fabrics made to fit your conservatory perfectly.
- Deluxe – performance fabrics with all of the little extras including layflat ‘anti fanning’ cords and pleat equalisation tape to ensure your blinds always look as good as the day you purchased them. The option of remote control, motorised operation is only available on our Deluxe range.
Conservatory blind installations
Budget conservatory blinds can look amazing if correctly measured, carefully manufacured and professionally installed, conversely high-end blinds can look cheap if incorrectly specified, poorly manufactured and improperly installed. To demonstrate the differences, click on the small images below to see photographs of blinds that customers of other companies have asked us to rectify and the quality repairs or replacements we have provided.
These images have not been manipulated to look worse than they really are - they are genuine pictures from real conservatories:
