Fabrics for conservatory blinds, window blinds and awnings
Our blinds for conservatories and window blinds are available in a wide range of fabrics which help you create the right ambiance and provide an enhanced level of controllable privacy and protecting you, your furnishings and pets from the sun's harsh and damaging rays enabling you to make the most of your space all year round.
Translucent fabricsThese fabrics let through the most light making them perfect for areas with limited natural light, particularly those with north or east facing aspects where solar heat and glare are usually less of a problem although conservatory or window blinds are still needed from time to time. |
Dim out fabricsInstalled in areas where a substantial reduction in light level (or added protection from sun light and heat) is required whilst still allowing a certain amount to penetrate. Blinds made with this material also offer an enhanced level of privacy relative to translucent blinds. |
Black out fabricsThis type of fabric gives as near to total light exclusion as possible. Although nearly impossible to achieve 100% light exclusion with a blind that can be opened, only minimal light breaks through from the edges of the blind. Blackout blinds use an opaque fabric and are fully enclosed in casing. |
Solar reflective fabricsFeaturing a special coating that provide a good level of control to reduce solar heat and glare. Whilst giving slightly more protection, this fabric allows sufficient sunlight to gently filter through. They are perfect for general conservatory use and particularly those with sunny aspects. |
Flame retardant fabricsPerfect for blinds for an office, work area or home, we can supply a large selection of fire retardant/fire resistant roller and vertical blinds with these properties. All flame retardant fabrics are certified to a minimum of BS 5867 1980, part 2, type B. |
Moisture resistant fabricsSuitable for areas often exposed to higher levels of humidity like kitchens and especially bathrooms where hot showers and baths consistantly generate moisture which even when vented can still allow residual water droplets to form. This type of fabric is resistant to mold and mildew. |
Easy clean fabricsAnti allergy, wipe clean fabrics are available for certain blind types. Others can be dry-cleaned, machine washed or cleaned using a damp cloth with lukewarm water depending on material type. For tougher or spot stains use a mild detergent and gently clean the affected area. |
Ultra fresh fabricsWindow blinds that have the Ultra-Fresh treatment help maintain a sterile environment in hospitals, nursaries and care homes. Not only will the blinds provide an effective and efficient form of adjustable solar shading, but they also guarantee a sterile, germ-free surface for years to come. |
Energy saving fabricsMade using a unique laminated material that incorporates a highly reflective aluminised film providing the highest reduction of solar heat and glare. Each of our fabrics has been tested and given an energy saving classification of ER1, ER2, or ER3 providing energy savings of up to 15%. |
