Awnings and Canopies

There are many awning types and manufacturers (e.g. Weinor, Winsol and Markilux) on the market today to suit all types of exterior shading requirements, and many systems to accommodate most applications and fitting requirements. Some examples of what we can supply are:
Drop arm awnings
Drop arm fabric awnings are a popular design which provides you with shade and protection close to your windows. They operate on fixed guide rails with simple self-locking arms that can be adjusted depending on the required projection and drop. Automatic awnings are suitable for ground floor or balcony windows and are available in acrylic, canvas and sunscreen fabrics along with matching hooding.
Dutch Canopy awnings
Dutch canopy awnings are available in varying shapes, sizes and projections depending on your requirements. These fixed awnings are designed to be used directly above windows or doors and are a popular choice for both home and commercial use (e.g. restaurants and cafes) as their shape enables the effective use of signwriting and design on the front panel whilst remaining an efficient form of sun protection.
Folding arm awnings
Folding arm awnings are predominately used to cover patios, decks, verandahs, balconies and entertaining areas as they can provide considerable shade due to their large projection. Awning sizes range up to 20 metres in width with an available projection of up to 4.5 metres. Folding arm awnings have the added benefit of requiring no posts or beams at the front edge enabling clear, unobstructed access.
Fixed arm awnings
Fixed arm awnings offer protection against the sun and unpleasant weather conditions and are ideal for shading windows, patios and doors. Steel awnings provide greater strength with increased wind resistance and durability and are long lasting and low maintenance. The fixed steel awnings are available with open or closed sides making them perfect for outdoor ‘Al Fresco’ living both commercially and in the home.
Awning fabrics
One of the most important things when buying an awning or a canopy has to be the awning fabric. Not only will the awning give you protection from sun or rain, but as the awning fabric is the most eye-catching part of your awning, the fabric style can enhance the look of a garden, home or shop.
